Weigh in

Hope your vacation was fun. We have been busy with the garage sale and family in town. Needless to say, we haven't worked out at all but did set a date to begin (Tuesday, this week). I did still lose 3lbs though, must just be from being so busy. So, I am now at 146. My goal now feels more attainable and I am feeling much healthier. I hope I keep doing well. I'll weigh in next week.

I do still check it.

I do still check this blog. I usually glance at it once or twice a week. I didn't post anything further because I didn't know if you were still checking it. So glad to hear WW is working for you. I finally made it into the 140's...well 149, but that motivated me. Summer is always a bit easier for me to lose weight. Fruits and veggies are less expensive and we are outside a lot. I am just going to keep eating healthy and watching calories. After our garage sale in June (if you guys want to put anything in, feel free and we can keep track of your items sold, June 25,26,27, we are going to have lots of extra room in our basement for our workout equiptment. We are going to have a bow flex, two treadmills, a weight machine, stair stepper, and free weights and a ball. 3-4 nights a week, we are going to work out with our neighbors in our basement. Our kids go to bed at 7pm, so we will all work out together after that. I think that will keep us all committed to it. Chad wants and needs to lose about 15lbs, I want to get to about 130-135, and our neighbors actually want to gain weight and muscle. Wish I was in their situation. I am glad you posted. I will post again next week when I weigh in.

June 3rd

I am not sure if you are still checking this but I thought I would write a quick post. I have been doing weight watchers pretty well for 8 weeks not. As of today I am at 162.8. That actually is almost 10 pounds done from when we started in January. I am pretty happy about that. We are going to the house boat on June 15th and my goal is to be the 150's...I feel today this may actually be possible.

Weigh in

I am sorry. I didn't realize you had posted. I am glad to hear that you found something that is working. I have had a similar experience. I went through a few different diet plans and gave up after a couple of days. I have finally found one that works for me. It's just eating healthy, watching calories, (125--1350 a day), watching sugar, eating whole grains, etc. It did take a couple of weeks to slowly transition to eating more fruits, more veg, more lean meat and only whole grains (pasta, breads, etc). In that two weeks, I lost 4 lbs. I wasn't even trying to. It was just a result of the adjustment to my diet. I lost another 3 lbs last week. I was so excited. I have been only exercising lightly. I have been too busy, but am going to try to kick it up a notch this week and walk or do some sort of exercise atleast 4 times this week. I also had to put my scale away. I did sneak in and peak twice, but was glad to see that my changes were working. I had Chad hide it and I can only weigh in once every 2 weeks now. I have set up a reward system for each 2 straight weeks I stay on it without cheating. Well, I can cheat one day a week, but not super bad. I can just have a couple hundred extra calories. So, even though I stuck to it for M-F, I didn't on Sat or Sun. So, I am counting myself as 4 days and I have to go another 10 before I can buy a new pair of sunglasses ($20 max, so nothing great...but, I do need a new pair). I will try to update once a week.

weight

It wouldn't let me just leave a comment...My weight is at 163.8 so it is finally going down :)

Wednesday April 28th

It has been a long time since I posted....
Anyway 3 weeks ago I started following the weight watchers plan again. In those 3 weeks I have lost 4.4. Thats more than I lost Jan-March. I decided well actually promised myself that I would really stick to it for 6 weeks. It is a little difficult on the weekends but during the week it's super easy. I didn't excercise for month cause of the heart sugery but am bacl on that this week too. I have walked 2 miles twice on the treadmill this week and went to an hour yoga class yesterday. I am so sore from the yoga I can barely move :) So I think I am finally onthe right track...although if I weigh in next week and haven't lost any I'll probably think differently. :)

Always an excuse

Well, it seems like I always have an excuse....one week I am sick, the next the kids are sick. I haven't worked out at all for two weeks because Cort has had bronchiolitis and has been up about 10-12 times a night. When they all lay down for naps, and I could work out, I go to sleep. I guess that is more important right now. Things are looking up though. I did weigh in at 153, so down a lb. I am getting discouraged also. Not because I don't have the motivation, but I don't have the time sometimes and when I do, I don't have the energy. Stinks. I think my best bet is to focus more on my eating. I am going to lower my calories to 1250-1300 and eat 80% healthy food (fruits, veg, lean meats, ) and the other 20% can be empty starches, sugars, salad dressings, etc. I am hoping I can get Cort back onto his normal sleeping schedule this weekend, since he is feeling much better now. I am going to try to make it a priority to work out 15 min. a day. If I can do more, I will. But, if not, at least I did some. Hope this plan works and I see some change. I am so tired of talking about it and not doing it.
