P90X











Well, I weighed in today on my wii fit and it said i was down to 154 also and that my BMI had gone down .45%...that's good. I did some strength training with the wii fit and the thing I didn't like about it was that it was not aerobic at all. I did each one then it took time to go back and select the next one and it was very slow paced. Chad's cousin did the P90X workout-not the diet, just the workout- and he had awesome results. I have included his pics from day 1, day 30, day 60, and day 90. It's pretty remarkable. Anyone I have talked to has said it works the best and that it's a tough workout, but so worth it and you see results so fast. It's pretty expensive, I think about $140.00. I bought it off of e-bay for $50.00 and it comes with the 13 dvd's and all the nutrition guides, recipes, calender, etc. It's geared toward men mostly, to really add muscle. You can use lighter weights and more reps to get a toned, lean look. I am excited for it. I work out best when I don't have to do any of the controls. I can just do it. On the wii, I had to constantly push buttons. I should get it in about a week. The pics I posted go from bottom to top, the first one is day 1, the next one is day 30 (which I think is already quiet a big transformation), the next one is day 60, and finally day 90.

Weigh in

I weighed in today at 154...not much of a loss. I haven't done much at all this week with this darn cold. Today, I am starting again though and I am serious. The holidays are past, my cold is past, now I am getting down to business. We cancelled our trip to the Bahamas in May, so that is no longer a motivation. That stinks, but I will come up with something else to motivate me. I guess feeling good, looking good, and being healthy should be enough of a motivator. I am anxious for next weeks weigh in. I think I will lose a couple lbs this week...I really want to get into the 140's within the next 3 weeks. I think that is reasonable.

Friday 1/22/10

Okay I weighed...although now that I am thinking about it I forgot to do my measurements. Oh well next week I'll do both. I did weigh in at 165.5. That's a loss od 3.3 pounds. I feeling pretty good about that :)
So I guess I will just keep doing what I have been doing. Although I have to admit I did a little less this week than last. I am not certain what that means. :)

1/19/10

Sorry I didn't post on Friday...We went out of town for the weekend and I just didn't get to it before we left. Anyway my weight and measurements were all exactly the same as the week before. Slightly discouraging but I guess better than gaining. We did walk miles this weekend so I am hoping all of the food and liquor I took in at least was burned off and I am still the same. I guess I'll find out on Friday. I have cleaned the house...sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and am now going to go walk on my treadmill.

Blah.....

I feel like it's been "one step foward, two steps back". I was on a roll until the holidays. Once I got back in the groove after the holidays I came down with this awful cold. I have been in bed or on the couch since Tuesday. I have been drinking hot chocolate, tea, and gatorade. All I have been eating is carbs because after I chug a bottle of dayquil, my stomach is a little upset. I weighed myself today and was up 1lb. I am not sure if it's because of all the carbs I have been eating, maybe it's just extra water. I just want to be able to be able to stay on my diet and exercise routine for more than a few days at a time. I can tell my cold has about run it's course. Tomorrow, I am going to make an effort to start again even if I am not feeling 100%. I might just take a walk around the neighborhood.

Sunny and Sixty in Denver all week!







Denver is the greatest city to live in, I am convinced. Summers are mild here, with no humidity. Spring is in the 70's, sunny, and beautiful. Fall is in the 70's and is my absolute favorite season here. About October, trees start to change to beautiful shades of yellow, red, and oranges. It's really breathtaking. Winter is so great. Snow comes and melts the next day, temperatures are mild. This week it's been in the high 50's and even low 60's. In an hour drive we can go skiing, white water rafting, or hike to a waterfall. We get to golf in the foothills and see elk on the golf course. The mountains are so beautiful in every season and make for a truly spectacular sunset. I am so, so, so blessed to live here. Here are some pics, unrelated to this post, but some new ones of the kids.

Tried out the Wii fit....

Well, I finally got out the wii fit today. I went thru the start up process. It said I weighed 156, which I knew. It said I had a BMI of 27, which was sad. I am feeling a bit depressed. I am used to being in shape and having a weight of 120 and a BMI of 21-the Wii said I was overweight. I knew this, of course, but it's hurtful to hear it...even if it's just the Wii. I like the chart it has to graph the weightloss. I am going to do it daily and am looking foward to tracking the results. Okay-30lbs, 4 months! That is my goal!!!

1/12/09

I have not been good about posting lately...Sorry!!
Anyway. On Friday I weighed and had lost 2.2 pounds so I am 168.6. I am pretty happy about that as I had only started the new program on Monday. So I lost that in 4 days. That is 10 sticks of butter! My measurements were 34 for waist, 39 for bust and 42.5 for hips. I am looking forward to this Friday's weigh in. I feel like it should be good. The Biggest loser Wii has really been keeping me motivated. It's great!

Busy weekend, but I weighed in today

Our weekend was so busy, so I finally got a chance to weigh in today. I was down to 155lbs. I pretty much gained back the 7lbs I lost when I went back to Omaha for Christmas. I am back on track now.

THursday 1/7/10

I just finished 45 minutes of cardio and 15 of toning. I did 30 minutes on the treadmill changing the incline every 5 mins and 15 minutes on the eliptical. Then I did 15 minutes of toning on the Wii fit. Yesterday I was too busy to get a real work out in but did vacuum and mop for 30 minutes so that should count for something. I am looking forward to the weigh in tomorrow as I feel I have worked really hard this week.

January...I am back :)

Okay the Holiday break was really tough on my dieting! I did work out 7 out of the 10 days we were in Hawaii. But I also ate and drank a ton. I have decided to take the 8 week Biggest Loser challenge my new Wii game has. I started yesterday. It of course said I weighed 171 :( So depressing! Anyway I am going to officially weigh in again on Friday as I want that to be my official weigh in day. I will also do my measurements this Friday as I really want to know all that I am accomplishing.

oh, the holidays....

I did not stick to a healthy eating plan over my trip to Omaha. I am convinced that Chads mom is one of the unhealthiest cooks ever...and, to make matters worse, we were snowed in and I couldn't make it to the store to pick up some healthy alternatives. O'well. I am back in action today. I am not weighing myself this week because I am sure all the sugars and starches have made me regain some of the weight, weather in true mass or just water retention. Either way, I am giving myself a week to get it together again. No more traveling for atleast 3 months, so I will have plenty of time to stick to my plan of working out and eating healthy. I was on a roll, until the holidays hit.
